synopsis
Nie Xiaoqian was betrayed and died filled with hatred, causing her spirit to remain trapped as a ghost in Lanruo Temple. Bound by sorrow and revenge, she wanders the temple until Ning Sheng, a scholar traveling to the Capital for his examinations, arrives and stays there. By chance, he crosses paths with Xiaoqian and unexpectedly becomes the one who saves her.
